Bouquets

I wanted all peonies for the bouquets.  My bouquet was all dark pink peonies with a creamy ribbon.  I liked how the stems all showed under the ribbon.  My Best Lady's (aka Matron of Honor) bouquet was light pink and white peonies.  Her ribbon was green to continue our pink/green theme.

Boutonnieres

The boutonniere's were also peonies - but buds rather than open blooms.  The groom's bout matched my bouquet - he had a dark pink peony bud.  The groomsmen and fathers (like my dad in the picture) wore light pink peony buds that matched the Best Lady bouquet.  They looked great in the beginning for the pictures and ceremony, but by the end of the night, most of the buds had opened and were wilted.  My recommendation would be to wrap the stem.

Church Decor

Picture
It was important for me to decorate the doors to the chapel as I wanted a welcoming vibe for my guests.  Our florist quoted wreaths, and they were very expensive.  So I asked for a "swag," and she was happy to oblige, and they were a fraction of the price.  The continued the theme of pink peonies.

For pew decor, we used galvanized buckets stuffed with pink peonies and green hydrangea.  We brought these along to the reception venue to use as decor for the cocktail hour.

This arrangement jazzed up our guest book table.

We had four square vases lined up on each table with alternating pink/green arrangements.  Pink roses, green hydrangea, pink peonies and little green mums.
